"Don't worry"
"I'll be back"
These words left your lips and fell onto the floor beside me
But as I looked up to find your coffee stained shirt and crooked lips
You were already gone

When you walked out
You took the air from my lungs
The smile from my face
You took the best parts of me

The memories we’ve shared haunt me
On the nights that I can’t sleep
And I wait

I wait for you to walk through the door
And return to me what you took
I want for you to come back and fix me
As you’ve done many times before.

I will wait until I cannot wait anymore
Until time takes it’s toll
You are my air
You are my smile

Please come back
Jules
