In today's society
Without giving it much thought
We all feel that we are free
To spit in the face of God

We cover up our sinfulness
With a list of does and don'ts
Never taking blame in full

Not paying much attention
With all the noise surrounding us
Out of sight, out of mention

We find there's nothing new
In this life under the sun
From day one it's what we've done

There will come a day when it's too late
With forgiveness being sought
Having had the chance, we passed on it
