And still in the shadows
Your shallows
Astound
Knew this wasn’t a movie
Keep moving
Unbound
But see through me
Exclude me
From fond recollections
From funds I’ve collected
The sum of my most
Disrespectful
Transgressions
Contrition incarnate
Discards me like waste
To a thoughtful exile
In dissonant space
Having learned
And unlearned
And relearned again
Better
It’s better
Having loved
Than been drugged
By forever
Been judged by the netherworld
Deemed to be temporal,
Rejected,
Resent
To lament my mistakes
And wake up to her
Once again
Beautiful face
