I have nothing to do
but to lay in bed
and make up scenarios
in my head
of me and you
who cannot be
our names will never
be on the marquee.

No bright lights,
no standing ovation,
this isn't an act of two
bodies magnetic resistance,
the audience left to boo,
there is no happy ending
for me and for you.
