Can’t even boast
Of accomplishment’s ghost
When the sum
Of my parts
Washes up
On the coast
And I’ve been back and forth
All around
The rotation
Condemned,
Welcomed in
To an alien
Nation
To factor me into
The quantum equation
When numbers and value
Induces objection
But tethers and links
This hormonal connection
A balance
No palace
Could render
Distinct
If the masters we serve
All subservient
Sync
To the blink
We inhabit
This minuscule space
And the rate
We proceed
To extinction’s
Embrace
