Numb
The cool breeze,
flows into the room in waves.
I'm dazed,
lost in the silence that once calmed me.
I'm swimming,
in a sea of words,
some of which are unheard,
I find peace between the lines.
Your actions,
they resonate like the piercing sound of nails on a chalkboard in my scattered mind.
You leave me paralyzed,
crushed.
I feel numb,
as I stare into nothingness,
praying for one last kiss,
or even just a passing glance.
But for now,
I drown.
