Your gaze changed
It turned away from me to her
And I can’t blame you
You’ve found the love of your life
The heart of your poetry
I’m genuinely happy for you
But I’m grieving the shift in our relationship
I’ll miss being the muse to your poems
The late night phone calls
The “have you seen the moon tonight” texts
I’ll miss what once was
