If I accept him
As my Lord and Savior
Could you tell
By my behavior?
Would that give me
Some kind of waiver?
That endows me with
Special favor?

If I accept him
As my God
Would that not be
Kind of odd?
Or by definition
Flawed?
And would that not be
A tad too broad?

If I accept the trinity
Or claim that he
Is one of three
What would that then
Say of me?
When one has never
Equaled three
Nor does it fit mathematically

If Holy Mary is
The Mother of God
Instead of an oft repeated
Facade
Let her strike me down
With her awesome rod
Upon the ground
In which she trods
