over-encumbered,
i strained to lift my legs
and lumbered onto stage
lately,
everything that once was temporary
wants to stay,
i say
to one shadowed face
lonely,
the sole spectator in this place
the only thing we have in common
is that we occupy the same space
*cue studio laughter
