Dec 2021
when I woke up
the morning was cold,
the sky was dark.
it was like even the Earth knew.
throw on my suit,
black as coal.
I'm late,
felt like the longest walk of my life.
when I get there,
the service has begun.
the priest begins his solemn words
there's flowers,
red, white, yellow
no one's crying - yet.
I take the last empty seat,
The coffin.
