Hope’s a pretty thing
Hope’s a dangling
Dangling on a string
Leads me blindly
Takes me kindly
Somewhere I belong
Helps me find my song
Nerves are jangling
Still she’s dangling
Like soap on a rope
Pretty yet neglected
A gift disrespected
To revive her power
Take her down
Give her a shake
Spread the love around
