Thought we were the chosen ones
thought we had been picked,
didn't know the deck was marked
and we had all been tricked.

they thought that we were done for
until we showed them what the gun
was for, so don't tell me it's not a war
when people fall dead on the streets.

Pitch your tent in parliament
get rich, become a well heeled gent
but heed the warning you've been sent
your card has been marked too.
