Decorous
I'm cleaning the kettle
counting daybreaks
and igniting my heart
I throw a brittle stick
into the blackness of the garden
and let you into a secret of mine
I don't look like my Mother
I'm Cinderella instead
an outlier sibling
a decorous counterpoint
