Once Fired
Once fired, no rehired.
I refuse to be your return to comfort.
After the one, you chased dumped you.
Your benefit has been redeemed.
You're no longer a part of this forever-together train.
And to think, you were the first thing daily upon my brain.
But unlike those songs of hurtful men walking in the rain to cover their hurt and sadness.
I just tell you, once fired, there's no rehire.
