Rent me a space in a place out in space
give me a base on the moon
Tell Mother, I'm out for a pie and a pint
but tell her that I'll be home soon.

Lend me the right to look out in the night
sell me a prophet of doom
and wish me away in the light of the day
but tell Mother that I'll be home soon.

In the chasm of smiles
let me rest for a while and take all of my worries away
prepare me a feast and let me eat before noon
then tell Mother that I'll be home soon.
