He helps me catch the
words as they fall from my skull
He says
"I like when you use
the sea as a metaphor"

And then he rolls onto his side
Rests his head on his overlapping hands
And closes his eyes...
Eyes as deep as the ocean
And as blue as the
sky reflecting off it

*I'd do anything he ever asked me to
