into a far reaching pandemic
the world was plunged
and to this point all the relevant
details have been expunged

somehow the panthogen
escaped its enclosure  
leaving the world's population
prone to the exposure

still there's a lingering question
in people's minds  
as to how the disease got out
of its confines

no satisfactory answer
has been furnished yet
which looks mighty like the gatekeeper
will get off with a let

one theory that was recently
put forward
said the virus leaked out
of the lab's unsecured ward  

in years to come the veracity  
maybe revealed
but until then much seems
