Dad and I had lots of differences, From the day I became a teenager, He expected me to lead a life according to his thinking, Most days we had heated arguments, I ended up spending the night with friends. Amidst one of our fights I saw tears swell in mum's gentle eyes, She was sandwiched between father and son, She loved us both equally. To maintain peace I steered away from dad as much as possible, Kept quiet when he had a point to make and listened, But did not heed to all his ways. At last we had peace, Mum was happy, I was glad my sacrifice had given mum space to breathe. 5/6/2021
