Did your heart beat faster
whilst mine did slow
was your soul bathed
in a midnight moonlit glow
you hastened to open
but hear me, it is closed
redundant desires
shattered dreams
your gift was all!
was it all what it seemed
betrayal denial are synonymous
to your unkind selfish temples
I would rather break my sword in half
then protect your city gates again
I see on the horizon
dark clouds amass
and while I face the wind to meet it's fury
you and your kin huddle in quite corners
patting yourselves on the back
in embryonic adulation
this babbling banality
claims of a better cult
a new distorted religion
another twisted dank avenue
that beckons you to hells chapels
there I am sure you fit in
as loyalty is from within.
