When I look at you
I get lost in your face
I disappear
It’s as if I am looking at a piece of art
I study it
Slowly
Every detail
Every curve
Every nuance
Everything about it
I become mesmerized
That’s all I see
Your face
I am frozen
Unable to move
Time seems to stop
And over the years
Your face hasn’t changed
It’s the same
As the first time I saw you
When I first became lost
