Nine Lives
From one end to the other
Climbing trees and riding bikes
I'm lucky to still be kicking
After all this time
Some things that I've ingested
Have taken its toll on me
I have yet to learn a lesson
On what I do and do not need
In all of this I propose a toast
Raise my glass on high
I've seen more than most
This cat has had some lives
From skydiving to bronco riding
I have yet to skip a beat
After all these years I find that
I'm still landing on my feet
Call it a curse or call it a gift
Throwing caution to the wind
Sometimes I hit, sometimes I miss
But I always get up and do it again
In all of this I propose a toast
Raise my glass on high
I've seen more than most
This cat has had some lives
So glad it came with nine...
