My friend owes me £800 but if I threaten him with legal action he might set his gang on me

DEAR DEIDRE:

MY friend owes me £800 which I lent him to buy a moped.

But if I threaten him with legal action, he might set his gang on me.

We got on well when we were in college together but then he got into a gang and I know they do all sorts of crazy stuff.

His lot are notorious for being the centre of trouble where I live.

They have been involved in knife crime and even acid attacks.

My mate keeps promising me the money but I’ve not seen any of it yet I really could do with it back but I know not to push it too far.

I didn't, I went and demanded my money back
they responded by breaking into my flat and stealing all my electronics
then took the 4 tyres off my car and kindly rested the axles on bricks

why do you think all the useful idiots they use obey them
and no one stands up to them
