That's what I taught my children, I wasn't a wall around them, I gave them windows and a door, To let in the sunshine of love in their life, The gentle breeze of kindness, To stand up to the storm of hatred and jealousy, To sow their roots deep down, And like a tree stand upright, To face all challenges in life. When they learned to take, I explained to them it is also rewarding to give and share. When they were bullied in school, I told them not to give in and fight back, They came back bruises several times but in the end it stopped. I also taught them to be humble, try to earn trust and respect with the right attitude, But, nobody is perfect, We tend to sway in life under circumstances. My children are on their feet, And they too have some flaws.
