Poems
Feb 2021
shy creatures
we tiptoe
the fresh water
the cold first
day of spring
we feel the goose
bumps grow
rising up our
legs into our
speeding hearts
our hands
desire to speak
their first words
but they have
not learned
a language
so we remain
still and smile
knowing
something
is changing
