Sometimes love
Deceives its own lovers

Believe me,
It isn’t always
Ice cream and peaches

Sometimes
love is sadness
Chaos and confusion
Beauty and madness

But I hope
When the battle begins
When we engage
Into combat
With the winds of
Circumstances and failure

You won’t forget
How to fight for us
You won’t fold
Into the creases of silence
Cower in cowardice,
And
Get lost on purpose

Before love
Gives us love
We once shared.
