That fanfare will always be there,
So will the loud proclamations be,
But they will only remain martyrs.

That assembly will always be there,
So will the very silent salutations be,
But they won't rise up from their beds.

Those tank platoon will always be there,
So will its dominating aura-presence be,
But oil-wells shall never churn them out.

That hatted guy will always be there,
So will forever his beautiful wife be,
But they will only remain martyrs.

That gentleman will always be there,
So will all his mugged-up words be,
But they will still remain martyrs.
I imagined this poem for the scene of an Independence Day parade.
