He sat there solemnly,
With a piece of paper and his lucky pen,
Burning candles till dawn
Not a word yet in his mind,
The paper blank.
He opened his window to let in the fresh morning breeze,
He saw the sun rise slowly,
The sky blissful and blushing,
The birds chirping in their nests,
The butterflies fluttering around the morning dew petals,
Blossoming to the morning glory.
His thudding heart bloomed too,
Handcuffs unlocked,
Brimming with an ocean of emotions,
Filling the mind with lyrical words and thoughts,
And out poured from his soul the most beautiful poetry.
