They wouldn't play with her because her skin was brown
Another wore a religious symbol intertwined with another
A door slammed in her face
Not chosen for a team and shunned
See they didn't understand because she was different
Nobody would stop her
She rose and continues to rise
No challenge deterred her
Like many of us
She wasn't like the others
Different is not accepted
Seen as bad and not like the flow
Cookie cutter only please
That little girl is out Vice President elect
Madam Vice President Harris
So many little girls Thank you
So does this little girl
