I got up one early morning
From a nice warm cosy bed
Retired and no more working
I took the dog for a walk instead.
Outside it was rather frosty
And it was only seven o'clock
I fetched his lead and took him out
For a mile around the block.
He can be rather annoying
He kept making a winding sound
And the cold I really felt it
As my feet stepped on the ground.
I don't do this very often
I just thought I would give it a try
I gave into this demanding dog
And now I'm wondering why ,
He knew just were he was going
And can see I'm an easy touch
He will have to learn and realise
That he cannot trust his luck ,
Now we've done our little journey
We are tired fromΒ Β walking the street
Now it's off to bed to rest my head
And like he I'll go back to sleep.
Crafty pet he is .can be very manipulative.
