How many tears can a wrist cry?
How many scars do I have to open
Just to be heard
How many things do I have to give up
Just to stop watching the war consume us all
They say the only way to shine your light is in the dark
Mine has been shining for too long
I'm letting the vessels sink
I'm no longer the safe haven
The Lighthouse that kept them safe
I'll always be the rocks wading in the water
Waiting for their precious hull
To crash against my edges
Letting the tide
The hungry waves drag them to the depths
