I stop in the silent, empty church
Our Lady of Sorrows in the lectionary

The Son of Man came not to condemn
But rather to save the world

And, though he was Son,
He learned obedience through suffering

With loud cries and groans
Agony in the Garden, Agony in the Spirit

I pray in silence before the Sacrament
I wander in the library, bring home 3 books

Father Greeley, Thomas More, Teresa of Avila

I read. I pray. I meditate. I write. I wait.
