Doors
A door is a gateway
To a new possibility
Some doors
Have many locks, chains and bolts
Designed to keep all but a few
Outside
Some doors are simple, unlockable
Easily opened
As long as you can reach the handle
Some doors are left ajar
And others
Are flung wide open
The human heart is like a door
Sometimes open
Sometimes firmly shut
A heart that is open
Allows others to enter
A heart that is locked
Will in time become
Desolate and isolated
