Barn Owl
What do I know about death
not much
except that I almost died
three times
the first time was the hardest
the other two were pretty easy
ghostly pale wide-eyed with a lanky face
nocturnal and it hunts
on buoyant wingbeats in fields
and meadows
so what do I know about death
not much except that I almost died three times
