My Grandmother would often say those words, “If I Can Help Somebody”
It didn’t matter if it was monetary, Food or just a word of encouragement in wisdom
That was my Grandmother’s motto speaking words in getting her closer to the kingdom
I would often observe, but didn’t understand at the time
Growing up you begin to wonder
What does life have in store?
The answer, you have to think living in order to explore
As my Grandfather would said, “Live and Learn”
My Grandmother was only doing God’s will
Now that is a big platform to fill
But that was my Grandmother’s way being her personality in the bill
Yet somehow, that is encouragement for me in hope still
Don’t look for an award, but be glorified to help
Now that is heart felt
Worry not, but be joyful through
Help in need
There’s a proceed
Praise in chant
Yet, will always think on my Grandmother’s mission in how I can help somebody
No specific person, but anybody
Her spirit from Heaven
Help until satisfied
In God I will abide.
