Invisible Man

I’ve been working my job one hundred
Percent, blood sweat and tears
Community service to my best ability
For the past ten years

Everyone knows my name and everyone
Knows my heart and soul
They know the work and service
I provide as I play my role

With each day my only challenge
Is the fight I have with myself
I wish I could take my thoughts
And store them on a shelf

But the bottom line is no matter
How far that I go above and beyond
It’s taken for granted and won’t be
Noticed until I’m dead and gone

I slip in to start my day unnoticed and
I go out and do everything I can
I come back stealthy as well and
It’s like I’m the invisible man
