To the girl who lit up a dark alleyway
The butterflies in my stomach won't stop
I do not know how, nor I wish to make it stop
If you're a streetlight that'll guide me
Is it rude to ask you to glow and stay longer?
We lose a part of ourselves as we go to grow
Dimly-lit path, everyone feels like a stranger
But you look familiar with that smile of yours
Suddenly, I almost thought it was a new morning
You're not a shining star watching from far away
You're a firefly, making the most of borrowed time
But don't ever stop lighting up a dark alleyway
An everglow, you are what makes it worth the time
