You took me to meet your parents
when I still saw something in you.
That something is gone now-
I’ve realized it was never there.
Our hearts were in tandem then;
why was mine left feeling so empty?

You brought me to concerts
when I could still hear you up on stage.
Now people cheer at your old songs
when I know that they should be booing.
Our paths were linked then;
why was I the one robbed of a future?
If you don’t stand with Black Lives Matter, I don’t want a **** thing to do with you. If you do, go donate to the cause and get to signing those petitions because the movement needs all of the help it can get!
