I dream about tomorrow
As I look back on yesterday
Wondering how I ever found the time

To take ahold of sorrow
Then give it all away
When I felt that it was truly mine

What used to be something
Ain't much of nothing any more
As daylight savings takes the pain away

Bout had enough of living
Could someone show me to the door
Cause inside of this house it's pouring rain

Sailing Ships and Misplaced Steps
Are all the same to me
Borrowed all I have against these broken dreams

If your gazing through the looking glass
And I'm not the one you see
I'm guessing that it wasn't meant to be

Wish that I had listened up
When they said the best in life is never free
Some questions make a living hanging in the air

Spending to much time these days
On what could never be
And what could never be will never care

Sailing Ships and Misplaced Steps
Are all the same to me
Borrowed all I have against these broken dreams
