The vultures were gathering
as Sainsbury's was opening
ready to pick the shelves clean
leaving only shelf skeletons
gathering dust,

if pushed
I'd have to say
that these are the people
greed is the way,

we're not the light anymore,
just the shadows left clinging
to the wax on the floor.
