It's not
a matter of stamina
rather of seeking value
an object by far
that does trivia subdue-

to articulate as though
blind to sensitivity
would but create
a shade of blue

for I would not
be forgiven
nor allowed
to walk through
the poetic gate
every word of mine
would be forgotten
in the queue-

if a writer
I aspire to be
above all
to myself
I must be true.
