Feb 2020
Hearts upon our sleeves.
Both wearing the scars of yesterday.
With tear stained face.
Both still bleeding and barely breathing.
as ego and pride starts to separate us
and the act of reconciliation was
a risk no one was willing to take
our love was so overwhelming
that either makes or breaks us
as you changed for the better
but I changed for the worst
a fantasy turned disaster
a love story turned melodrama
An enchancting meeting
was nothing but a beautiful mistake
both close to being strangers
as we fight with different emotions
one wanting to continue
while the other wanting to surrender
