The End of the Day
Everything is pitch black
Birds have flown away
When the sun goes down at the end of the day.
The nightlights are turned on
In beds children lay
When the sun goes down at the end of the day
The world has grown silent
The trees do not sway
When the sun goes down at the end of the day
Everyone is tired
The sky turns to grey
When the sun goes down at the end of the day.
The darkness is endless
And try as we may
There's no way to bring back the lightness of day.
All people are putting
Desires at bay
There's no more to want at the end of the day.
