Can we be a little bit more understanding
A lot of people are fighting hidden battles
If what we are go through is this much,
maybe the other person has it even worse
This thought alone should draw kindness out of us.

Some are screaming for help inaudibly through a smile
Some are crying out loud but no one is listening
A hurting person doesn't always look hurt
Make it your default settings to be kind

And maybe we can give one another a helping hand
And if we can't, we shouldn't make it worse
The least we can do is to be understanding.
