Between.
Between ‘Call the midwife’
And ‘Dark materials’
Lies my world
A world of reality.
Inhabited by great empathy
But mostly indifference,
Cruelty, liars and vacuous space.
It, this world, has been deteriorating
Continuously for thousands of years
Through greed, selfishness and destruction.
If tomorrow ever rescuers the day
Let it be bright with love and sorrow
And children play in the long grass.
Love Mary **
