He goes to sleep early
just drops and goes where
I have still hours to unwind
to calm the waves of the day
wrestle issues into confinement
sound proof cells locked
against unguarded sleep
where at last I fall
too deep to feel the pounding
wondering in the morning
how the bruising bloomed
