tell me a secret
that no one else knows

in this bed we share (just for the night)
let us be more than strangers

let me know
a small part of you

beyond your body
beyond the feeling of your skin against mine

...

we can exchange
euphoria

but don’t ask me for more
and i won’t ask you for less

i don’t want love
i don’t want feelings

let’s read the same book
and highlight our favourite pages

save some for later

you see, you could be anyone
and it wouldn’t really matter

for surface level
is all we need

i don’t picture any face
or think of any name

let us be nothing

for that keeps us safe
for that keeps us sane
let me know what you think
