Dec 2019
I was coming undone?
You pulled my string
then left me unstrung.

Where were you when
I was battered and torn?
You cut the cord
before this infant was born.

Where were you when
I called out to you?
You sliced the line
so, I couldn’t get through.

Where were you when
I begged for mercy?
Beseechingly, I cried.
You saw me unworthy.
