There's somebody out there pretending to be me Why they're even using my face They're doing things that I would never do Not here, not any place
I don't have an evil twin brother So that can't be who's to blame Can't think of why someone or another Would want to take a mans name
I sit here in ponder and wonder How this is all going down The only time he ever shows up Is when I'm not around
You might be getting a little suspicious I can assure you that this is true The me you see isn't me at all How he got to be me I haven't a clue
He goes out with all of his buddies Then stays out till half past late Shows up drunk on your front porch step With a stupid grin and nothing to say
He seldom brings you flowers Or call you all the time on the phone Sometimes doesn't show up for dinner Leaves you crying in the kitchen alone
I've got a fool proof way of checking To see if the me is me, then you make the call If the me you see says...I Love You Then you know it's me after all
