The moon, he's my friend,
Watching me wander cluelessly,
Sometimes, I tell him my worries,
Often, they get testy,
But he never leaves me abandoned,
He's always there, glowing, somberly,
And he smiles at me because he can see my future,
Even when the sun shines, he's there, watching me, hopeful for me,
I sing to him, he listens to me,
I wish I could hug him sometimes,
Because he affects me, like the tides in the endless blue sea.
The moon, he's my friend,
and I, am grateful, and he reminds me to be happy.
