Life is nothing but a journey of dreams,
When each ray of sunshine fills us with hope.
And as light filters through my window,
It floods me with precious childhood memories.
In poverty you gave us strength,
You never left us,
We shared what we had with joy.
The gentleness in your smile,
The determination in your eyes,
The warmth in your arms,
Lifted our spirits to soar beyond the universe.
Always, you were in front to cheer us on,
Behind us to have our back,
And next to us so we weren't alone,
A loving dad, a perfect teacher,
Who bathed us in love and compassion.
